Advanced technical diving certifications can be pursued by many people. TDI offers Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures, and PADI offers Tec Trimix and Deep Diver courses. The TDI Advanced Nitrox course introduces advanced diving techniques for recreational Nitrox divers. The course covers equipment use, gas switching, advanced emergency techniques and lift bag deployment. For more information, please visit the TDI Website.
TDI Intro to Tech course
The TDI Intro to Tech training course is a standalone course that will help you improve your recreational training as well as gain a deeper understanding of advanced technical skills. It can also be used as a gateway to TDI’s more advanced courses, like Advanced Nitrox (Decompression Procedures) and Advanced Nitrox (Decompression Procedures). Alternatively, it can serve as a refresher for those who have already taken technical courses. During the course, TDI technical instructors will be able to assess your skills.
The TDI Intro to Tech course was designed for divers who are not familiar with twin cylinders. This course covers advanced buoyancy control as well as gas management. Students will also acquire situational awareness and trim skills. You can take the course in open cenotes or at sea, which offer similar conditions to swimming pools. Advanced gas planning skills will also be learned. This course will improve your open water diving skills as well as introduce you to technical equipment configurations. Advanced gas planning techniques will also be covered. You will not be permitted to decompress the course but can still use enriched air nitrogenx mixes.

Course TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures
TDI Advanced Nitrox & Deco Procedures training prepares divers for accelerated decompression. Students learn advanced gas planning techniques and management techniques in order to make sure their dives are safe. Students also learn how to manage their equipment and plan for contingencies. A TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course includes four dives with a maximum depth of 40 meters (130 feet).
This course can be taken separately or as part a certification in Advanced Nitrox or Decompression Procedures. Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures courses are performance-based, lasting four days. Sixteen dives are required and two of the dives must be below 30 meters. Students complete the course based on their personal experience and requirements. This course prepares students for advanced technical diving, including wrecks in Scapa Flow and the UK.
PADI Tec Trimix course
The PADI Tec Trimix90 course is the final part of the PADI Technical Divers open circuit. This certification opens up the possibility to go deeper into the ocean and discover places no one else has. This course is intended for experienced tec divers looking to increase their skills and explore deeper areas. A valid dive license is required. You also need to pass a medical check in order to be certified as trimix diving. You will need two 30cf-stage bottles and a facial mask to be certified in trimix diving.
PADI Tec Trimix 65 Divers must have logged at the very least 350 dives. The course also covers technical diving techniques. It also offers multiple teaching scenarios. It is considered the most advanced course in technical dive certification. However, it is worth noting that the requirements are more demanding than the standard PADI Tec Diver course.

PADI Tec Deep Diver course
PADI Tec Deep Diver certification for recreational divers is an advanced course. This certification covers four dives and includes a practice of safety stops as well as descents. Additionally, you will learn how to use technical diving equipment such as a side-mounted cylinder or EANx. Additionally, you will learn how to plan deep dives and manage your gas supply. You can choose to take your lessons online, or offline. The PADI Tec eLearning course allows you to work at your own pace.
This program, unlike previous PADI courses can be completed within two years. First, you must be certified by Tec 50 from an approved organization. The certification must include technical deep diving, pure oxygen diving, and decompression diving to 50 metres. The Tec Deep Instructor course director may also offer Tec 50 level training. Upon completion of the Tec Deep Instructor course, the PADI Course Director will issue you a Tec Deep Diver certification.
