St Lucia is home to many good scuba diving locations. These include Anse Chastanet, Trou Diable, and Anse Cochon North & South. Because of its strong currents, this plateau is great for drift diving. In this area, you will find large shoals, stingrays, nurse sharks and turtles.

Anse Chastanet

Anse Chastanet in St Lucia is known for its unusual marine life and popularity as a scuba diving spot. The reef stretches from 20 to 140 feet in depth and is home to over 150 different species of fish. It is also a favorite spot for underwater photography.

The Anse Chastanet resort can be found in a peaceful setting near the Pitons, and close to some of the island's most famous reefs. It was opened in 1968 and has since grown to be a 48-room resort. It's located between two ridges, and a steep hillside, which gives it a stunning location.

Anse Cochon North & South

Divers can explore the Anse Cochon North & South Reef. This pair of dive spots is located between the islands. Both are accessible from the beach and range in depth from about 10 feet to 40 feet. These are excellent dive spots for both beginners and advanced divers. The northern reef is home for more coral, but there are plenty of reef fish at both ends. Expect to see trumpetfish, sea whips, and eels, as well as octopus.

Anse Cochon’s south end has the Lesleen M. It is an old cargo vessel that the Fisheries Department of Saint Lucia converted into an artificial reef in 1986. The seagrass beds that attract many species of fish surround the sunk vessel. Barracudas and stingrays may be seen on the wreck, as it was deliberately sunk to be a dive site.
