Online voting is also available for readers to vote for their favourite dive sites and destinations.

Bonaire ranked second in the Advanced Diving category

For the fifth year in a row, Bonaire has been named a top dive destination in the Caribbean/Atlantic region by Scuba Diving Magazine readers. Bonaire was awarded the Best Shore Diving Destination title. Bonaire also received honorable mentions in the categories Best Underwater Photography and Best Visibility. The November 2021 issue of the magazine will publish the winners of the readers' choice awards.

Bonaire's bike and hiking trails are available to visitors. A national park is available where you can see flamingos. The island also has its own water filtering system, which makes the tap water safe for consumption. In 2016, the island was home to 114 healthy turtle nests, which was its highest number in a single nesting season.

It is easy to get to dive sites because the fringing coral runs parallel to the island's leeward shore. The reef is warm and shallow, which allows visibility of up to 80 feet/100m.
