Scuba Diving St Lucia

There are several good scuba diving sites in St Lucia. Trou Diable and Anse Chastanet are three of the best scuba diving sites in St Lucia. Due to the strong currents, the plateau is an excellent spot for drift diving. This area will have large shoals for fish and nurse sharks.

Anse Chastanet

You'll find a profusion of unusual tropical marine life at Anse Chastanet, a popular scuba diving destination in St Lucia. The reef has over 150 species of fish, and it can reach depths from 20 to 140 ft. It is also a favorite spot for underwater photography.

The Anse Chastanet resort can be found in a peaceful setting near the Pitons, and close to some of the island's most famous reefs. This resort opened in 1968. It now has 48 rooms with stunning views of the ocean. It is situated between two hills and a steep hillside giving it an amazing location.

Anse Chastanet offers the perfect place to enjoy scuba diving in St Lucia, as well as many other activities. You can also take advantage of custom-built resort trails and take yoga classes. Trou Diable

Trou Diable is an excellent place to start your scuba diving vacation to St Lucia. This dive site, 40 feet deep, features a stunning coral reef. Divers may circle the reef at 100 feet and observe a variety of turtles and tropical fish.

There are plenty of options for divers in Saint Lucia, whether you're a seasoned diver or just starting out. The east coast has excellent coral reefs. Both the north and south end are ideal due to the protection from the easterly trade winds as well as potentially dangerous wave conditions. Saint Lucia also has a lot of experienced divers. Many of these are conveniently located near the island's major resorts. It is a great place to learn a beginner or certification course.

Anse Cochon North & South

Scuba divers can explore the Anse Cochon North & South Reef, a pair of dive sites located between the two islands. Both sites can be reached from the beach, and they range in depth between 10-40 feet. These dive sites are perfect for both beginner and intermediate divers. Although the coral is more abundant on the northern side, there are many reef fish at the other end. Expect to see trumpetfish, sea whips, and eels, as well as octopus.

Anse Cochon’s south end has the Lesleen M. It is an old cargo vessel that the Fisheries Department of Saint Lucia converted into an artificial reef in 1986. The wreck is now surrounded with seagrass beds which attract many types of fish. You may also spot stingrays and barracudas on the wreck, which was purposefully sunk to make a dive site.
