
St Lucia offers many great scuba diving opportunities. Trou Diable is also available. Anse Chastanet, Trou Diable and Anse Cochon North & South all make excellent scuba diving locations. Due to the strong currents, the plateau is an excellent spot for drift diving. Here you'll find large shoals full of fish, as well as nurse sharks, sting rays, and turtles.
Anse Chastanet
Anse Chastanet has a wide variety of tropical marine life, making it a very popular scuba dive destination in St Lucia. The reef is home for over 150 different species and can be found from 20 to 140 feet below the surface. It is also popular for underwater photographers.
The Anse Chastanet resort can be found in a peaceful setting near the Pitons, and close to some of the island's most famous reefs. It was opened in 1968 and has since grown to be a 48-room resort. It's located between two ridges, and a steep hillside, which gives it a stunning location.

Anse Chastanet offers the perfect place to enjoy scuba diving in St Lucia, as well as many other activities. The resort offers custom-built trails for guests, yoga classes, and sunset sails on its sailing yacht. You can also relax in one of the many hammocks on the beach and take guided walks and hikes through the six-acre estate.
Trou diable
Trou Diable is an excellent place to start your scuba diving vacation to St Lucia. This dive site is 40ft deep and has a beautiful coral reef. Divers can circle the reef 100 feet below the surface and see a variety of tropical fish and turtles.
You can dive in Saint Lucia whether you are an experienced diver or a beginner. The east coast boasts excellent coral reefs. The shelter from easterly wind and possibly dangerous waves at the south and north ends of the island makes them ideal for divers. Many experienced divers can be found in Saint Lucia. Many of these dive operators can be found close to major resorts. This makes it a good place to start a course or get a certification.

Anse Cochon North & South
Divers can explore the Anse Cochon North & South Reef. This pair of dive spots is located between the islands. Both sites are easily accessible from the beach. They range in depth from 10 to 40ft. These are excellent dive spots for both beginners and advanced divers. The northern reef is home for more coral, but there are plenty of reef fish at both ends. Expect to see trumpetfishes, sea whips and eels as well as octopus.
In the south end of Anse Cochon, the Lesleen M is an old cargo ship, which the Fisheries Department of Saint Lucia sank in 1986 as an artificial reef. The seagrass beds that attract many species of fish surround the sunk vessel. The wreck was intentionally sunk in order to create a diving site. You might also see stingrays or barracudas.
