There are many reasons that you should get certified as a Nitrox diver. Nitrox diving allows you to experience the thrill of enriched air. This certification will help you become more confident as an instructor. Many organizations offer certification courses. Here are some of them: NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver, PADI Enriched Air Diver, SSI Adventure Diver, and Open Water Diver.
PADI Enriched Air Diver
PADI Enriched Air Divers (EANx) certification is designed for divers who want to improve their diving experience. This course includes a home study and a brief classroom session. The EANx course includes learning about oxygen content in the scuba tank, how to use a scuba oxygen analyzer, and standard procedures for recording the percentage of oxygen in the tank.
Air divers who have been nitrox-enriched can extend their time underwater without needing to stop often. Because there is less nitrogen in the air mixture, they are safer. In addition, enriched air mixes usually have 32% or 36% oxygen, making them ideal for shallower dives.

NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
An enriched-air diver certification is a good step towards taking your diving to the next level. This course covers the basics of blending, as well as the hazards associated with high oxygen concentrations and how to use the equipment. You will also learn how to use a dive computer and analyze your tanks. A standard air dive table will also be covered. Also, you'll learn about common blending processes for nitrogen/oxygen.
Nitrox, also known to some as enhanced air, is a form of breathing gas which contains more oxygen that standard air. You can stay underwater for longer periods of time without having to refill your tank. It reduces the effects of decompression fatigue and is beneficial to your health. Also, enriched-air divers have shorter surface intervals.
SSI Adventure Diver
SSI is an internationally recognized diving organization, and the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification is one of its most advanced ratings. The certification requires knowledge, experience, and skills. You must have completed at minimum 50 dives as well as four specialty courses in order to receive this award.
The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox Course is designed for students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to dive in reduced visibility. The course teaches divers to use special equipment, navigate in the dark and communicate with a buddy. After completing this course, they will be eligible to apply for the SSI Nitrox Specialty certification.

SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver certificate program is internationally recognized. It consists of three parts: academic learning and in-water pool training. There are also multiple open-water dives. This course teaches you how to plan and dive with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. This can increase your bottom time and reduce your surface intervals. It may also help to avoid decompression sickness.
PADI and SSI dive centres have different procedures for certifying divers. You must purchase your manual to obtain a PADI certification. However, with an SSI certification, you receive your card from the dive center where you completed your course. PADI certification centers might also provide temporary cards that can be used as proof of certification.
