How to Become a Master Diver in the United States Navy

The United States Navy master diver is the highest level in the diving industry. Enlisted persons have the greatest depth of knowledge, experience and training regarding all aspects and salvage. A master diver must have at most 15 years of experience, and have completed a specialization program. A specialization course can help you earn master diver status in the United States Navy.

PADI Master Scuba Diver

PADI Master Scuba Diver is an international certification that recognizes your scuba diving skills. This program is offered by several North American diving training agencies including the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), Scuba Schools International and the Professional Scuba Diver Association. This is the most advanced level of diving certification. You will be required to dive at least 30ft underwater while completing the course.

NAUI Master Scuba Diver

The NAUI Master Scuba Diver Course might be for you if your goal is to improve your scuba diving skills. This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge necessary to organize dives for others. You'll learn to use a compass and perform underwater communications. Learn how to lead a diver in a new place. The course includes both a classroom and two open water dives.


NAUI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

To enhance your diving experience, the NAUI Master Diver Course in Enriched Air (NITX). This course covers all aspects of enriched air diving including mixing Nitrox and Oxygen. Students will learn how to analyze the breathing mixture, the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen, and the hazards of handling both gases. They will also learn about Equivalent Air Depth, common gas mixing techniques, and the concept of Equivalent air depth. An open water diver can also take the enriched course. It is a prerequisite for using the enriched mixture.

NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver

Completing the required courses is essential to achieving your dream of becoming a NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver Master Diving Instructor. This certification is a prerequisite in the NAUI FIT program, which will prepare you to be a professional NAUI Instructor/Leader. Take the Try Scuba program to get started. This program is designed to give you the knowledge and skills necessary to safely dive into open water.

NAUI First Aid Course

Master divers can take a NAUI First Aid course to prepare them to handle a wide range of emergency situations that may arise in the water. The course includes refresher sessions as well as valuable information about new First Aid standards, training best practices, and other useful information. NAUI First Aid training will provide you with all the information necessary to be able to react quickly to any emergency. You will also be able to use the skills that were taught in class.
