Online Scuba Diving Certification - Enriched Air Nitrox Certification

PADI's Enriched Air Diver or SSI’s Enriched Air Nitrox courses are two options for you if you are searching for an online option to learn scuba diving. However, you may be wondering how to get started. This article will explain how to start, and the benefits and drawbacks of each. In addition, you'll learn about online nitrox certification programs.

PADI's Enriched Air Diver course

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course teaches students how to safely plan and prepare for enriched air dives. It is computer-based. The classroom portion usually takes place in the evening. The course is compatible with other PADI courses, including Open Water and Advanced Open Water Diver. These dives include Nitrox, but you have the option to complete them independently if desired.

This course uses interactive multimedia presentations, audio, graphics and audio to make it easy to follow and understand. A few short quizzes will test your ability to follow the course. A Quick Review, a practical session, two enriched-air training dives, pre-dive simulations and a practice application are all part of the course. PADI recommends that you complete the eLearning portion of the course at least one year before you plan to dive with nitrox.

SSI's Enriched Air Nitrox course

The EnrichedAir Nitrox course offered by SSI makes a great choice if divers want to increase their bottom times or reduce their surface intervals. This course covers everything from gas theory to how to mix enriched air properly and how to mark your tank. In this course, you will learn how calculate the perfect enriched-air mix for your depth. You'll also learn how to plan your dives to get the most out of enriched water.

After completing a Open Water Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver class, SSI offers an ongoing EnrichedAir Nitrox course. This course will teach you how to safely use enriched nitrox. You can also use it to plan future dives and reduce decompression sickness. After passing the exam, you can use the enriched aircylinder safely.

Online learning options for nitrox certification

Online or in a classroom setting, you can earn your enriched aviation certification. If you are taking the classroom course, you will need a dive computer to perform the skills. The classroom portion of your enriched air certification will take an afternoon or evening. You can combine it with an Advanced Open Water or PADI Open Water course. Online learning is also available if you have limited time. Online courses can be completed and nitrox diving done offline.

scuba diving certification requirements

The course requires a dive computer, a cylinder, and a manual. An app that simulates an air enriched cylinder can be used to practice your skills if you have an online option. The EANx36 cylinder works with both an online eLearning course and a classroom. For the class to be successful, students must reach minimum 12 years old.
